RelicWise Privacy Policy
This policy explains how RelicWise handles photos, scan results, subscription status, analytics, and support information.
1. Information We Collect
RelicWise collects the information needed to provide antique, watch, jewelry, art, furniture, pottery, and collectible identification features.
- Photos and scan inputs. When you start an identification, you may submit photos from your camera or photo library, along with an item category and related scan metadata.
- Scan results. We may store generated identification results, confidence scores, price ranges, recommendations, category, and related metadata in order to operate the service and support expert review workflows.
- Device and app identifiers. We use app-generated device identifiers, app user identifiers, app version, country or region, and request metadata to apply quotas, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot the service.
- Subscription information. Purchases are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive subscription status, entitlement status, product identifiers, and related purchase metadata, but we do not receive your full payment card details.
- Analytics and attribution. We may collect app events, diagnostics, attribution identifiers, and campaign information through services such as Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, and Meta technologies.
- Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we store a device push token so we can send app notifications.
- Support communications. If you contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and related support details.
2. How We Use Information
- To identify submitted items, generate descriptions, estimate visual price ranges, and return recommendations.
- To operate free scan quotas, premium access, expert order status, restore purchases, and subscription features.
- To improve product reliability, measure feature usage, diagnose issues, prevent fraud or abuse, and keep the service secure.
- To respond to support requests and communicate service or account-related information.
- To understand marketing performance and attribution where permitted by your device settings and applicable law.
3. Photos and AI Processing
RelicWise sends submitted scan photos and related prompts to third-party AI providers so they can generate identification results. Current providers may include OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini. RelicWise does not intentionally store original submitted photos in its application database after processing, but temporary processing, security logging, provider processing, or diagnostic handling may occur as needed to operate the service.
We may retain the generated scan result and related metadata, such as category, confidence, price range, and recommendation. We do not use your photos to train a RelicWise-owned model.
4. Third-Party Services
We use service providers to operate RelicWise. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy commitments.
- Apple App Store for purchases and subscription billing.
- RevenueCat for subscription entitlement status and purchase infrastructure.
- OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini for AI-assisted identification.
- Cloudflare for hosting, routing, security, and server infrastructure.
- Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, and Meta technologies for analytics, attribution, and campaign measurement where enabled.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law, security, fraud prevention, or dispute handling.
- Scan result records and expert order records may be retained while needed to operate your history, collection, entitlement, support, or expert review workflows.
- Device quota and subscription cache data may be retained for limited operational periods.
- Analytics data may be retained in aggregated or de-identified form for product measurement.
- Support messages are retained while needed to resolve the request and maintain business records.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You may choose not to provide camera, photo library, notification, or tracking permissions, although some features may not work without them. You can manage App Tracking Transparency, notification, and photo permissions in iOS Settings.
Depending on where you live, including under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, you may have rights to request access, deletion, correction, portability, restriction, objection, or to opt out of certain sharing. To make a request, contact us at aaronjasonall@gmail.com.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet or mobile service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so you should avoid submitting sensitive personal documents or private information that is not needed for an item identification.
8. Children
RelicWise is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International Transfers
RelicWise and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new Last Updated date. Continued use of RelicWise after an update means the updated policy applies to your use of the service.
